The EMT course I'm taking met Wednesday evening at the fire department in downtown Telluride. It's close to the Cornerhouse Grill where I went to lunch with a few of the people from class. There are 15 students in the class and I'm looking forward to getting to know them better. The class has a couple of fire fighters and ski patrollers. The instructors are all paramedics here and a few of them even brought there dogs to class. They mentioned that after we complete the course and start volunteering they we will get trained in doing IVs as well. They also mentioned that after a year of volunteering on the ambulance they will give us back a check for the cost of the course.
